Ecosystems

Remember, we have learned a lot in our ecosystems unit.We recently looked at plants, animals, and decomposers and how they interact in an ecosystem. You were taught how to play the Big Fish Game. In this game you build a pond ecosystem that will support a sunfish. Even though your focus is that sunfish, you need to be aware of the carbon dioxide levels in the pond. They should be healthy for both plants and animals in order for you to succeed in this game. You may be asking yourself, "If those animals need carbon dioxide, why can't fish breathe on land?". To help you understand, you can hear Doug's explanation by clicking here.
